Who is Marcus Samuelsson?Chef Marcus Samuelsson was born in Ethiopia and orphaned at 3 years old. It was then that he and his sister were adopted and raised by a family in Sweden. Marcus spent countless hours in his grandmother's kitchen, watching and learning from her. Knowing cooking was more than a passion to him, Marcus later enrolled in cooking school. He then became an apprentice in France, Austria and Switzerland. He soon became Excecutive Chef at Aquavit restaurant in New York City, and is the youngest chef to receive an amazing 3 star review from the New York Times. Today, Marcus Sammuelsson is a premier chef, TV host, award-winning cookbook author and UNICEF ambassador. |
