"This was bought to replace a battered T-Fal cheapie that lost half its nonstick coating; I was steered away from another nonstick pan when I mentioned what I'd be using it for, and was surprised when the saucier was recommended to me instead of the deeper but pricier 1-qt. saucepan. This is the perfect size for reheating a small can of soup or veggies, reducing wine, stock for demi-glace, or even fruit juices for sauces. Sturdy and cleans up like a dream. One of my lids from an old Finnish 2-1/2 qt. nonstick saucepan (that also lost its coating) fits it perfectly! With this for creating reductions and a stainless skillet for making deglazed pan sauces, I'm all set!"
