"This will be a two part review. 1. We bought this Tuesday NIGHT standard ground shipping. MetroKitchen shipped it Wednesday, I boiled water Friday! MetroKitchen is AWESOME!!! 2. We used this electric kettle for several days at a friend's while on vacation. We really loved it so bought one from MetroKitchen when we returned. It boils a FULL kettle of water in right at 7 minutes. It shuts off within 10 to 15 seconds after the water starts boiling. The stainless steel body does get hot when boiling water but IT IS A KETTLE! A really terrific product that I would heartily recommend. AND - MetroKitchen ROCKS!!!"
