  • Made with clay from Burgundy, France, water, and other naturally occurring minerals.
  • Each ceramic cookware item is hand crafted by skilled artisans. Every piece is individually stamped by artisan who made it, using his or her initials.
  • Cookware is removed from molds and finished by hand, so each piece is unique and will have slight, normal variations.
  • The feet or raised surfaces on the bottom of the pan spreads heat during cooking. They will not effect the performance on a flat or glass cook top.
  • Safe for use on any type of heat source, gas, electric, halogen, broilers, grills and microwaves. Emile Henry cookware can be used on induction cook tops, provided a Mauviel induction disc is used.
  • Please note, when heated, the pot expands slightly. This phenomenon creates small, thin cracks in the glaze, called crazing. These small cracks are not flaws, but are proof that Emile Henry cookware is resistant to temperature change. Crazing is also a sign of longevity!

  • For best performance, you must season Emile Henry cookware prior to cooking in it.
  • It's easy! To season a new piece of ceramic cookware, add approximately 1 inch of milk to cover the bottom. Let the milk simmer for five minutes.
  • Remove the piece of ceramic cookware from heat and allow it to cool before cleaning.
  • Or, if religious requirements prohibit you from using milk in a pan that will be used for meats, simmer one quart of water with 1/2 cup of rice for five minutes. Cool and then clean the pan as you normally would.
  • Safe for use on any type of heat source, gas, electric, halogen, broilers, grills and microwaves. Emile Henry cookware can be used on induction cook tops, provided a Mauviel induction disc is used.
  • Also safe for freezing
  • It's important to slowly heat this ceramic cookware. Never heat an empty ceramic pot or pan.
  • Allow pans to cool before cleaning.
  • To remove burnt or baked on food, we recommend soaking pans for approximately 20 minutes before cleaning.
