This Global knife black and red sharpener is named for the famous Japanese Shinkansen trains. They are sleek, fast, efficient and reliable. Each sharpening slot has two sharpening wheels set at the factory Global angle for the perfect edge on your knives. The separate slots feature a coarse- and medium-grit wheel for a truly fine edge. Each wheel rotates over a small water reservoir to keep the blade clean and cool while sharpening.
