This innovative and knife sharpener has two separate sharpening modules. It is easy to use because the sharpening angle is pre-set. It enables you to be confident that you have the proper angle. The first module allows you to gently remove small damages to the knife edge. Module 2 gently smooths the edge and restores the knife to its best sharpness. Module I has steel wheels for coarse sharpening, pre-sharpening. Module II has ceramic wheels for fine sharpening and smoothing.
This knife sharpener may only be used for uncoated knives with a straight edge
How to use the Henckels Twin Select Knife Sharpener
1. Place the TWINSHARP Select on an even, anti-slip surface. Make sure it is firmly in place.
2. Place the end of the cutting edge of the knife(near the handle) in a 90 degree angle into the first module. Draw the blade with a little pressure towards yourself. Do not apply too much pressure or use a see-saw movement. Depending upon the degree of bluntness, you may have to repeat the process up to five times.
3. If your knife is very dull, use module I first followed by module II. A knif with a small degree of dullness may only require Module II to bring it back to its original sharpness.
4. Check the result by cutting into a sheet of paper.
