The top of cover of the cloche measures 10-3/4 inches diameter x 5 inches high. The base of the cloche measures 12-3/4 inches in diameter, including handles.

Please note, when heated, the pot expands slightly. This phenomenon creates small, thin cracks in the glaze, called crazing. These small cracks are not flaws, but are proof that Emile Henry cookware is resistant to temperature change. Crazing is also a sign of longevity!

We also recommend lightly sprinkling the base with flour before baking for easier removal of dough after it has proofed.
Bake on an oven rack that's in the bottom third of your oven. Be sure to pre-heat your oven.
If you'd like a slightly darker outside crust, remove the cover during the last 5 to 10 minutes of baking
