This Gastrolux BIOTAN nonstick 5 quart induction saute pan is the largest saute pan in the BIOTAN induction series. It's great for sauteing and pan frying, but its tall sides and wide base also make it perfect for cooking dishes with more liquid. You can use it to brown meat and then add liquid and vegetables for slow braising. Made in Denmark, this pan is easy to clean and features fast and even heat thanks to its squeeze-cast aluminum construction. Additionally, it's suitable for any cooking surface, including induction, thanks to its cast-in stainless steel base.

  • Gastrolux products come with a 2 year warranty with normal use and proper care. Not following the use and care instructions may void the warranty. Contact Gastrolux cookware at 404-401-7481 for clarification on any instructions.
  • Hand wash only. Gastrolux cookware is not dishwasher safe.
  • Before using your cookware, remove the plastic fixations on the rim and the protective film from the base. Clean with warm water and detergent. Dry well.
  • Do not use metal utensils or anything with a sharp edge on Gastrolux cookware as this will cause damage. However, surface scratches will not affect the nonstick properties of the product.
  • All Gastrolux fixed handles and lid knobs are oven proof to 500 degrees F. Use oven mitts or gloves when removing lids and cookware from the oven.
  • Designer detachable handles are not oven safe. Using these in the oven will damage them and void the warranty.
  • If your pan has a counter handle, or loop handle, be sure to use oven mitts or gloves while handling
  • Immediately hand wash your Gastrolux cookware with hot water and a mild detergent after each use. If something is burned onto the surface of the pan, use a scotch-brite sponge to clean it.
  • Do not leave food in your Gastrolux cookware for long periods of time.
  • Gastrolux induction cookware can be used on induction cooktops as well as gas, electric, glass, ceramic, and halogen.
  • Do not overheat. Never leave your Gastrolux cookware on a hot cooking surface empty or unattended. Overheating will reduce the non-stick performance of the pan. Damage as a result of overheating is not covered by the warranty.
  • Make sure your cooking surface is clean and clear of residue before use. Small particles of salt or food can cause scratches to the cookware or the cooking surface. Never slide your cookware back and forth across the cooking surface, always lift the pan to where you woudl like to place it.
  • Make sure the bottom of the induction pan is of equal size or slightly smaller than your stove top diameter to ensure even heating.
  • Be sure not to overheat fat, butter, or oil in your Gastrolux cookware. Overheating oil can cause "Bitumen Resin," which cannot be removed and will permanently reduce the nonstick qualities of your pan. Damage caused by overheating oil is not covered by the warranty.
