The Kikuichi Hammered Damascus Nickel Sweden 7 inch Santoku knife gives you an incredbily sharp cutting edge and stunning, 45-layer Damascus steel elegance. The Kikuichi Santoku knife is highly versatile. Use it to cut fish, meat, poultry or vegetables or most other kitchen cutting tasks. This knife is finished with a beautiful rosewood, Japanese-style handle accented with an ebony-colored blade guard made of traditional water buffalo horn. The surface of the blade has a dimpled (Tsuchime) pattern to minimize food sticking to the knife during slicing or chopping. This Tsuchime pattern is created by hand-hammering the blade then heat tempering. Because each blade is hand-hammered, each dimpled pattern is unique. The combination of individual hammering and 45 layers of Damascus steel gives you a durable, gorgeous knife that holds the sharpest cutting edge with easy maintenance!

  • Immediately wash knives after slicing citrus or tomatoes. The high acid content of these foods can quickly break down carbon steel. If discoloration or rust occurs, it can be cleaned with Bar Keepers Friend or similar non-abrsaive cleaning products
  • Hand wash with warm water and mild detergent.
  • Do not put Kikuichi knives in the dishwasher
  • Rinse and dry immediately to prevent discoloration of high carbon steel knives
  • Store knife in a safe place, ideally with a blade protector, to protect the edge and prevent injury.
  • Do not attempt to use on frozen meat or cut through bones. Use only meat cleavers to cut through meat or chicken bones. Blades of any knives can be damaged attempting to cut through frozen meat or bones, which will invalidate the Kikuichi lifetime warranty.
