I ordered this knife last week, and it is absolutely by far the sharpest knife that I have ever handled. The first time that I used it after receiving the knife in the mail (along with a more than adequate knife/scissor sharpener, that was a pleasant surprise to say the least) I was almost afraid that I was going to cut my finger off! The sheath is worth getting if you are a fisherman, or if you are like me and just do not have a safe place to store your knife without potentially dulling the blade. I admit that I do not have a basis for comparison since this is my first and only filet knife, but I am pretty sure that anyone who purchases this particular model will be more than satisfied with its performance. Also, if you are not familiar with's delivery speed, it is impressive. I was shocked at how fast it took my order (just this knife and free sharpener) to arrive.
