The Cristel Strate brushed stainless steel 9.5 inch universal steamer insert can be used in several sizes of sauce pans, stew pots and stock pots. It has rims along its exterior edges that enable it to fit into these varied sizes of pans and pots. These French-made pans are very easy to store because of their removable handles. The pans easily stack inside each other for very compact storage. They also take up less space in the dishwasher than pans with handles! As with all Cristel cookware products, the universal steamer Insert is made in France and has a lifetime guarantee. Please note: handles not included.

  • For the best cooking performance, we recommend heating the pan for 1-2 minutes prior to adding food. Use a low to medium heat setting.
  • Suitable for all cooking surfaces--induction, gas, electric, halogen, ceramic.

  • Non-stick stainless steel cookware is oven safe up to 480° F. DO NOT put non-stick cookware under the broiler

  • To avoid damage to glass lids, wait until they are at room temperature before putting in the oven. Before washing lids, wait until they have cooled.
  • Add salt after water has started to boil, otherwise small white dots or pits can form.
  • To keep the non-stick surfaces from scratching, use nylon or plastic utensils

  • To remove food residue and stains, use a nylon scrubbing pad and a fine-powdered cleanser.
  • Steel wool, scouring pads and bleach-based cleaners not recommended
  • Overheating can cause blue or brown discoloration. Remove with a fine-powdered cleanser.
  • We recommend allowing cookware and lids to cool prior to washing, otherwise warping or cracking may occur.
