"WOW! I only rated this a 4 because it is my first experience with a tool of this sort. Be careful, I type this with a cut finger because I underestimated the keen blade...and all my knives are expensive and I keep work hard at keeping them sharp! So be careful. Otherwise, I was absolutely astonished how cleanly, quickly, and thinly I was able to slice onions, cucumbers, and peppers. Using minimal pressure, they were paper thin and much tastier than when I just slice them with a knife. I love to cook and can't wait to practice a little more and fully employ this Kyocera slicer in my kitchen! A great find at a very reasonable price. "
