CTX is the high end line, it costs more than the others due to the more costly 5 ply design. CTX features the fewer items than the other lines.

Classic Construction
Scanpan Classic is the result of molten aluminum squeezed into a casting under 250 tons of pressure. The final product is a pan that is guaranteed NEVER to warp. The bottom of these pans is flat making them ideal for those new flat top stoves. The ceramic titanium non-stick finish is free of PFOA and PFOS and is 10 times harder than stainless steel.

CTX Construction
CTX stainless is a 5 ply product. The cooking surface is made of 18/10 stainless steel which is covered with the ceramic titanium cooking surface. This is followed by an aluminum alloy layer, then a pure aluminum layer, followed by another aluminum alloy layer and finally the outside we all see is 18/0 magnetic stainless steel with a satin finish.
